Dear Tango Frostbite 2025 participants, maestros, DJ's, musicians and volunteers,

After sleeping the first full night in a long while, it is now time to reflect on all the emotions, sensations, sounds and impressions of Tango Frostbite 2025.

We feel extremely fortunate with our wonderful maestros Yanina Quiñones y Neri Piliu, Sebastian Jimenez, Maria Belen Giachello and TangoPiantao Carina y Arttu who so generously shared their knowledge and understanding of tango, giving us breathtaking moments watching their shows and learning from them in the workshops. We thank them for their great professionalism, trust and good spirits that extended even to following us into icy cold water !

At the core of Tango is the music, and this year we were spoiled in this aspect too: On Saturday night, the live performance of the amazing Tango Experience was surely one of the highlights of live tango in Finland for decades, and dancing to their interpretations was unforgettable. In addition, our wonderful DJ's ensured the smooth flow of beautiful tandas throughout the event. Being surrounded by music chosen with such care and devotion makes reaching the tango bliss so much more likely.

Tango Frostbite is organised fully as a volunteer effort and depends solely of the contribution of people who all have daytime jobs. When planning the festival program, we never know how much community support to expect, but this year, their enthusiasm and devotion came close to the very early years of the festival. We are deeply grateful for that.

We also want to thank all the dancers who joined us from near and far, choosing to spend this cold and dark weekend embracing each other in our milongas and workshops. Seeing so many friendly faces in the workshops and milongas made it all seem more than worthwhile.

Your smiles and embraces still vivid in our memory, we want to thank Each and Every One of you for making this year's Tango Frostbite so memorable.
