Volunteering at the festival
Volunteering is a great way to get to know other tango dancers and the community! Volunteers helping with the arrangements have a crucial part in making the best possible festival experience for everyone, including you!
Below you can find information on the jobs available. When using the signing up platform, you'll find all the timetables and credits received.
Some practical information:
1) 8h of work = milonga pass, 4h of work = 1 day milonga & 1 evening milonga
2) please arrive on time, preferably 10 minutes before the start of your shift. You don't have to have a key for El Atico, just ring the number posted on the door (you will not be charged as we don't pick up the call, just open the door).
3) you will get your milonga pass or tickets to individual milongas at the festival info desk.
4) I hope nobody needs to cancel, BUT if you do:
a) first try to find a replacement and let YOUR TEAM LEADER know their name&contacts
b) if you cannot find a replacement, let YOUR TEAM LEADER know

Friday and Sunday
- Packing the van at El Ático & Kalliolan setlementtitalo
- Emptying and organizing the lobby, halls and classrooms
- ATTENTION! Includes lifting and moving things
- Decorating the day milonga hall according to instructions
Clean up - El Ático
Thursday & Sunday evening milongas
All after-parties!
- Take out trash
- mop the floors
- wash dishes
- clean the toilets
Host - El Ático
Thursday & Sunday evening milongas
All after-parties!
- NO ticket sales
- Making coffee, keeping things tidy, washing dishes
- Making sure there's water and snacks available
- After the milonga: take out the trash, collect dishes, close windows and doors, turn off electicity and air-con and collect lost-and-found items
Clean up

Friday to Sunday 12:00-18:00
- Keeping toilets tidy
